Contrast Room

Contrast therapy is a practice where you deliberately alternate between cold and hot for a set amount of time. Beyond the benefits of cold plunge alone, there are these benefits to contrast therapy:

Enhanced Athletic Performance: Contrast therapy can be a game-changer for athletes and fitness enthusiasts. The alternating hot and cold temperatures stimulate blood flow, aiding in muscle recovery, reducing inflammation, and enhancing nutrient delivery to tissues.

Accelerated Muscle Recovery/Reduced Inflammation: Cold plunge and sauna may speed up the recovery process. The contrast between hot and cold temperatures is suggested to help flush out metabolic waste products from the muscles, reducing inflammation and promoting faster healing.

Mental Clarity: Contrast therapy has been reported to enhance mental clarity and focus.

Detoxification: The combination of hot and cold exposure in contrast therapy is believed to stimulate the lymphatic system, helping to remove toxins from the body.

Boosted Immune Function: Some studies suggest that contrast therapy may have a positive impact on the immune system.

Relaxation: A contrast therapy protocol will leave you nice and relaxed, and possibly improve your sleep.

Please note that contrast therapy is a well-established practice, but there is no specific protocol for the duration or temperature of the baths. Different professionals may use different timing and temperature to achieve the best results.
